If you are interested in aviation and want to fly aircraft weighing up to several hundred tons, then choose the Professional Pilot BSc program! The Commercial Pilot specialization will give you the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to build a career as a professional pilot and fly around the world. You can also work in air operations, ground handling, or compliance assurance.
You can apply for non-type rated first officer or cadet positions with airlines in Europe or in other countries, where EASA certificates are accepted, immediately after completing your training. The program does not provide any type rating, but the last stage of the training is APS MCC training conducted in an Airbus A320 environment. Most of the time type rating is part of the admission procedure at airlines according to the aircraft types that are used there.
When applying to the program, you only need to submit a general medical check by a local doctor. However, after being accepted by program and enrolled in your courses, you will need to obtain a Class 1 Medical Certificate (EASA Part-MED 1178/2011 EU regulation) at your own expense (the cost is not covered by any scholarship) as compulsory requirement by the end of the first semester (31st of January). If you fail the medical check, you will be automatically dismissed from the university and your scholarship will be cancelled. During your studies you will also need to revalidate and renew the certificate at your own expense.
For more information about the medical certificate please check the following website: https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/the-agency/faqs/medical
Detailed information on the general admission procedure (deadlines and requirements) can be found on our E-admission page.
