Renewable Energy and Sustainable Construction Engineer MSc

RESCO is an international Master’s program for students aiming to work in sustainable construction and renewable energy. It brings together civil and industrial engineering, offering a strong technical base combined with practical experience. Across four semesters, students study in several European countries, gaining academic knowledge while engaging with different cultures and professional environments. The program covers engineering fundamentals, sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and renewable energy systems, and concludes with a full-time internship in industry, research, or an NGO. Graduates develop solid engineering skills, international experience, and the ability to actively contribute to the energy transition and the decarbonization of the construction sector.

Admission to the RESCO MSc program requires a relevant BSc degree in civil, industrial, or a related engineering field, and certified English language proficiency at minimum B2 level. The admission process includes: (i) pre-screening based on academic records, CV, and motivation letter; (ii) an online academic assessment or evaluation; (iii) an online interview in English focusing on technical background, motivation, and communication skills. Applications are submitted via the E-admission system

You can study at BME with a scholarship or as a self-funded student, by paying tuition fees. Various scholarships help you cover tuition fees and your living expenses during your studies. Successful PhD students may receive additional support from research grants.

Curriculum

The program is organized over 4 semesters (120 ECTS): Semester 1 focuses on civil & structural engineering fundamentals, Semester 2 on sustainable construction & energy efficiency, Semester 3 on renewable energies & specialization, and Semester 4 on a 4–6 month internship and Master’s thesis.
